Gem Of England was established in 2016 by Gem Freeman and has matured over the past few years from the shop it set off as, to the beautiful boutique shop it is today. Known for it's diversity in jewellery, gifts and furniture it has become the 'goto' shop for that something out of the ordinary.
After much deliberation it was decided the shop needed a little something more and re-branding the shop was the vision. So, in September 2019 that's exactly what happend.
Gem continues to make and sell her beautiful Jewellery, hand crafted rough diamond pieces; 'A Bit of Rough' and other bespoke jewellery for him and for her such as rings, necklaces, earrings, cufflinks, bangles and bracelets.
Bespoke, commission orders are welcome as Gem thrives on creating that unique piece for that someone special, for any occasion or for that ' just because' situation.
Emma joined the establishment in the Spring of 2019 with an aspiration of offering customers something a little different from the existing shops in Burley and surrounding villages. With a view that customers would travel from near by towns and afar to indulge in the beautiful artefacts available for purchase at Burley Lifestyle.
Emma, an established KLC qualified interior designer for over 25 years, runs Emma Jane Interiors alongside Burley Lifestyle and has introduced her flair at the shop, offering customers help with interior design dilemmas. Emma has brought in new pieces of furniture but continues to up-cycle special finds along with gifts and beautiful trinkets to adorn your homes. Emma also showcases her Foreverlasting Flower arrangements, ones that are to be looked at twice to confirm that they are not as real as you may think, all made of silk and displayed in the most beautiful containers and vases. Emma frequently takes on commissions and offers Foreverlasting wedding flowers and bridal bouquets too.
The perfectly formed shop all be it small, stretches to two floors and is located at the edge of Burley Village in the New Forest, just opposite the Burley Manor Hotel.
The shop continues to support several local artisans. Award winning artists Sandra Binney and Penny Driscoll embellish the shop walls with originals, limited edition prints, cards and more of their most favoured works. Paula Mitchell, as seen on TV's Landscape Artist of the Year is yet another talented artist that introduces a different vibe to the walls of Burley Lifestyle.
Burley Lifestyle is also proud to stock perfumes and scented candles from two more award winning perfume-tiers; Sarah Ireland Perfume and Connock London, both of whom are Hampshire based locals.
The shops stock is forever changing, so not to be disappointed if something catches you eye, please call or email and reserve that special something that you just can't live without.
